Calvin Wong

Registered Physiotherapist

Calvin has completed his Masters degree in Physical Therapy (MPT) from the University of Western Ontario, and holds a Bachelors in Kinesiology from McMaster University. Calvin enjoys using the Integrated Systems Model (Lee & Lee), an approach that empowers clients by optimizing performance of movement. As part of this client specific approach, Calvin often uses his extensive post-graduate training in spinal and joint manual therapy and is a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Therapy (FCAMPT). Calvin also has training in active release techniques, craniosacral therapy (CS 1 + CS 2), Intra-muscular Stimulation (IMS, dry needling), and anatomical acupuncture. Calvin often uses these manual techniques in combination with corrective therapeutic exercises to allow clients to find optimal movement strategies to restore movement, enhance function and optimize performance.

Calvin is the co-owner of Woodland Physiotherapy. During his career he has helped clients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, recreational and competitive sports injuries, pelvic health, pelvic pain and pelvic floor rehabilitation, and repetitive overuse injuries.

Outside of the clinic Calvin enjoys trail running, rock climbing, skiing and travelling.
