Carey is a Kinesiologist with a special interest in functional injury rehabilitation and movement optimization. With a compassionate and holistic approach to total body wellness, Carey uses evidence-based methods to help her clients move and feel their best.
After completing her Bachelor of Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia, Carey worked in a research lab exploring the complex and fascinating mechanisms behind pain in humans. From this she brings a unique understanding of pain, which she integrates into her client care to help individuals manage and conquer their pain.
Carey holds additional certificates in advanced exercise prescription, optimizing hip and knee function, as well as cognitive, vestibular and balance training. She is well versed in helping her clients return to work, sport, and leisure activities by using the most effective exercise programming for each unique individual.
In her free time, Carey can be found in the mountains skiing or biking, petting all the neighbourhood dogs, or curled up with a book.
Carey would love to work with you if you are recovering from an injury, have been in a motor-vehicle accident, or would simply like to move and feel better via improved strength, stability, and mobility.
